Universal Orlando fans we’ve all heard the rumors and it’s finally confirmed. According to the Orlando Business Journal, Comcast, which is now the parent company of Universal Orlando Resort & Theme parks has confirmed the purchase of 475 acres of land that’s adjacent to Universal Orlando theme parks costing them $130 million dollars.
With the purchase of the 475 acre’s near really gives Universal a better chance at building new attractions to compete with Disney. Universal has been limited to what they currently have for many years and look at all the amazing attractions they’ve brought to us including my favorite, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. I’m hoping with this new area we’ll see a new themed land to add to the themes we know and love now.
I would love to hear what you think they will do with this new area or maybe what you hope they will do. The land is large enough for many ideas. Maybe a new hotel? New themed lands? A third theme park? Maybe a Nintendo World land? Backstage or operation space? Who knows, but I can’t wait!!

Finding out that Comcast is the parent company of Universal just helped me decided if I’d ever go to Universal…. No is the answer.
