Closer look at the new Epcot Fountain & Pylons

Big changes have been in the works for Epcot lately. Park-goers have been promised that the next few years will bring the most drastic changes seen at the theme park since its opening in October of 1982.

Disney has already been delivering on some of those promises, both in 2019 and 2020. We’ve recently seen the installation of new theatre experiences and the removal of the monoliths. The latter project, though a bittersweet change, makes way for a new entry plaza, complete with a new fountain, pathways, and green spaces. The beautification has already begun to take shape with clear pylons in front of Spaceship Earth.

The beautiful lucite fixtures draw your eye up towards the sky and the majesty of Spaceship Earth. They also help frame the horizon of the entrance beautifully. The clear design also refracts the lighting of the entrance for a magical look. The pylons pay tribute to Epcot’s history.

The fountain pylons are quite photogenic! They look majestic to guests making their way past Spaceship Earth.
