Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster’s Upside-Down Car Gets a Groovy Glow-Up Ahead of Muppets Makeover

Things are getting a little more… electric over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios as work continues on the reimagined Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster starring the Muppets, and now we’ve got a fresh look at one of the ride’s most iconic props. The upside-down car outside the attraction is getting a vibrant new paint job, and let’s just say… it’s starting to look like it belongs on a psychedelic tour bus with Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem.

According to recent photos shared by bioreconstruct, the car’s updated design now features bold swirling patterns in red, orange, and teal, accented with newly added yellow stars that pop against the darker sections. You can also spot fresh airbrushed shadowing throughout the graphics, giving the whole piece more depth and that extra “stage lighting” vibe. It’s a noticeable shift from the previous look and feels much more in line with the colorful, chaotic energy you’d expect from a Muppets-led rock show.

The transformation is still a work in progress, but these updates are a strong sign that Disney is leaning fully into the new theme. The nearby G-Force Records archway still stands, but with the Muppets set to take over the attraction, it is only a matter of time before more visible changes start popping up around the entrance and queue.

“Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets” is currently scheduled to open in summer 2026, and if this refreshed car is any indication, guests should expect a brighter, funkier, and possibly more chaotic ride experience when it debuts. One thing is certain… this limo is ready to jam.
