Cindy Morgan from Tron and Caddyshack dies at 69

Cindy Morgan, renowned for her iconic roles in the beloved 1980s classics Caddyshack and Tron, has passed away at the age of 69. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s office confirmed that Morgan’s roommate discovered her lifeless body at her residence in Lake Worth Beach, Florida, on Dec. 30. Officials, while unable to determine the exact time of her passing, do not suspect foul play and believe she died of natural causes. Raised in Chicago, Morgan initially gained recognition as a model featured in commercials for Irish Spring soap.

Her film career began with the 1980 hit comedy Caddyshack, where she starred alongside Chevy Chase and Rodney Dangerfield, portraying the character Lacey Underall. The film, directed by Harold Ramis, marked Morgan’s debut and remains a memorable experience for her. In interviews, Morgan recounted the producer’s attempt to pressure her into posing for Playboy, a situation she successfully resisted.

In 1982, she graced the screen in the cult sci-fi film Tron, contributing to the groundbreaking visual effects that brought video game aesthetics to cinema. Morgan played the roles of computer programmer Lora and her digital counterpart Yori. Beyond the big screen, she made notable guest appearances on television shows like Matlock, Falcon Crest, CHiPs, and The Larry Sanders Show. Morgan’s regular presence at conventions allowed fans to express their admiration for her significant roles in cinematic history.
