Cinderella’s Castle Makeover Has Started At Magic Kingdom

The Walt Disney World Resort recently announced they were going to be giving Cinderella’s Castle an overdue upgrade. The royal makeover is in conjunction with the 70th anniversary of the animated feature film Cinderella. Cinderella’s Castle is such an icon and we can’t wait to see it all painted like new. You can get a glimpse of the concept art in our article here.

The good news is the cranes are out and the makeover is underway. We spotted this cranes out today and there were four in total. It’s actually pretty neat to able to see the castle transform. It will be really amazing to see the whole look come together. Unlike with Disneyland’s castle, there are currently no construction walls. There may not be since Cinderella’s Castle is also home to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and Cinderella’s Royal Table restaurant.

There is one thing to know before you go to Disney’s Magic Kingdom during this castle makeover. The times for the shows at the castle have been modified and currently are not running until late afternoon. Be sure to check a times guide for showtimes.

One thing for sure is we can’t wait to see Cinderella’s Castle looking freshly painted and with it’s new look. Be sure to keep following along as the makeover continues into the summer. We’ll be sure to keep everyone updated with all the latest on the castle glow up.
