Cinderella Castle Moat Drained as Remaining Disney World 50th Decorations Prepare to be Removed. Over the next few weeks, we will see Cinderella Castle transformed from the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary overlay, back to the beautiful castle it is.

While the colors will remain, the spirals and embellishments will be removed. The moat that surrounds Cinderella Castle is being drained now to make way for cranes and crews to work on the castle.

The 50th medallion that covered the clock face on the castle has been removed. Disney has also finally removed all the banners and logos from the 50th.

We should see all mention of the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary removed from all the parks within a few weeks time according to Disney parks.
