Disney launched a new version of their Chase credit card. The new Disney Premier Visa Card now earns you 2% in reward dollars on card purchases at gas stations, grocery stores, restaurants and most Disney locations. You will still earn 1% on everything else. Unfortunately they charge a $49 annual fee on this card which could make it less appealing to you.
Since we are an existing Disney Rewards Visa Card holder, we got an offer in the mail to receive 5% in reward dollars on card purchases at gas stations, grocery stores, restaurants and most Disney locations for 90 days. In order to break even since we paid a $49 annual fee, we must charge at least $980 at one of the qualifying locations. Since we spend $500 a month on gas (for 3 vehicles), we decided it could easily be done and it would be beneficial to us to upgrade to the Disney Premier card. Based on our budget, we will earn approximately $165 in 3 months just by charging our grocery and gas purchases on the card.

Does anyone know if Disney employees can use these cards? Using the rewards on top of employee discounts would be amazing.
I have the Disney Rewards card and didn’t get the offer of 5% to upgrade. But I called to upgrade anyway. They gave me $50 in rewards for upgrading. Made the annual fee “free” the first year.
