Choco Taco coming to Salt & Straw!

After almost 40 years, Klondike’s Choco Taco has been discontinued. Fans of the tasty ice cream taco need not be too sad though! A new Chocolate Tacolate is coming to Salt & Straw!

Choco Taco coming to Salt & Straw!

The Klondike Choco Taco consisted of light vanilla ice cream encased in a waffle cone, partially covered with milk chocolate and topped with peanuts. According to a Klondike representative, the taco was discontinued due to a spike in demand for different Klondike products over the past two years.

Salt & Straw shared on Instagram that an ice cream taco will be coming for National Taco Day on October 4th.

“When one freezer door closes, another one opens 👀 Mark your calendars for National Taco Day 10/4/22”

From the images, it looks like the ice cream taco will be a waffle cone filled with ice cream, dipped in chocolate and topped with sea salt.

We can’t wait for National Taco Day so we can try this new Choco Taco!
