Chip & Company Week in Review, October 10, 2011

Welcome back to another edition of the Chip & Company Week in Review!  After spending last weekend at the 40th Anniversary of Walt Disney World, it was a little bit of a letdown for me last week, but there was still some great news stories last week:

  • The Evil Queen has been awarded the “Sinister Stylings” Wicked Gooey Apple.  You can vote now in the ‘Lair of Scare’ Category!
  • In the category “What does my wife want for Christmas?”, Dooney and Bourke released the new Comic Collection, which arrives at Disney Parks in October.
  • Do you vacation at Disneyland during Thanksgiving?  If so, you will want to know that Thanksgiving Day reservations are now being made!
  • The entire Chip & Company group of writers wants to take a moment to pass along our condolences to the family of Steve Jobs during their time of grief.  You are all in our thoughts and prayers.
  • Our friends over at Sorcerer Radio recently had an interview with Don Hahn, the producer of “The Lion King”!  Great job, guys!
  • On the heels of the success of “The Lion King”, Disney has announced that Beauty and the Beast, Finding Nemo, Monsters, Inc., and The Little Mermaid will be made into 3D movies in 2012 and 2013!
  • Did you participate in the Food & Wine Half Marathon?  If so, then the post “They Ate, They Drank, and They Ran” is for you!
  • Have you ever seen the Parasol Parade?  I had never heard of it before, this is something my wife and daughter might enjoy seeing!
  • Also last weekend, Rapunzel became the 10th official Disney Princess at a ceremony at Kensington Palace!  Congratulations Rapunzel!
  • As we get closer to 2012, we are learning more and more about what will be opening up when in the Fantasyland Expansion project.  Check out “Coming to Disney in Spring 2012” for more details!

That’s our look at some of the news stories from last week, now let’s take a look at some of the incredible original articles that our writers produce each and every day!  Enjoy!

  • Ken talked to us in his “Oldies but Goodies” series about your plans – “How Ambitious Should They Be?”
  • Debra wrote a post about her five snacks at Downtown Disney that are worth a visit.
  • Lastly, Jackie shared with us how she is able to create a special spa event for herself and her daughter – without the expensive pricetag!  Check out her post “Affordable In-Room Fun – Disney Spa Night”.

That’s all we have for you this week.  I hope you have a terrific week, and remember to check out Chip & Company often for the latest in Disney News, Views, Giveaways, and more!  Also, to keep up with the latest Disney news and views on the fly, check out the Chip & Company Facebook Page or follow Chip & Company via Twitter!
