Chip & Company Week in Review, December 19, 2011

Welcome back once again to this week’s edition of the Chip & Company Week in Review. Here are the stories that caught our eye last week:

  • Have you entered the Disney Fairies Pixie Hollow Sweepstakes yet? The contest runs until December 22nd, so you better get a move on it. Only one entry per household.
  • Disney is always looking for worthy causes to donate to. They recently donated playgrounds to some worthy organizations! Good job, Disney.
  • The Disneyland refurbishment schedule is out for January. Check it out if you are heading to that park next month!
  • In addition to the playgrounds, Disney VoluntEARS recently donated over 2,000 Salvation Army teddy bears outfitted in a variety of costumes to needy children.
  • The refurbishment schedule for Disney World is also out for January, so check it out Chip before you head south!
  • One of the biggest things that Disney has going for itself is it’s level of customer service. To commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Disney Institute, Disney Publishing Worldwide has released an update to the book Be Our Guest: Perfecting the Art of Customer Service.
  • Check out the sneak peak of the Disney Story Rooms at the Walt Disney World Resort!
  • Is your daughter’s name Sofia, or Sophia, or Sophie, like mine is? If so, then this show is for you! Coming in Fall, 2012, we give you “Sofia the first” on Disney Channel and Disney Junior!
  • Did you see “D23 brings magic and merriment to Walt Disney World?”
  • Lastly, did you see that the NFL has tapped Disney Institute to help out with the Super Bowl?

That’s our look at some of the news stories from last week, now let’s take a look at some of the incredible original articles that our writers produce each and every day! Enjoy!

  • For those of us with small children, our writer the DisneyDiva has written a great piece that outlines the age-appropriate rides at Walt Disney World! You can even print it out to take with you!
  • I don’t normally highlight two articles by the same author in one review, but the article by the DisneyDiva, “In Case of Emergency.”
  • Lastly, PixieMichele brings you her Top 5 Disney Cruise Quandaries.

That’s all we have for you this week. I hope you have a terrific week, and remember to check out Chip & Company often for the latest in Disney News, Views, Giveaways, and more!
