Chip And Company Disney Week In Review For June 20th

Once again it’s time for the Chip and Company Disney Week In Review where we bring you a sampling of the major news stories surrounding everything Disney as well as a quick look at  the opinions and views of our incredible staff of writers. • It seems that 2011 is the year of Disney changing things up. For the last 5 years or so, price changes and package details for the next year have been released in August or later but not this year. Check out Ticket Prices Going Up June 12th and Package Prices For 2012 Are Out Today for specifics.
• Another big release this week were the Disney World 2012 Dining Plan Details check out the link for details. Most changes were minor except now all plans include the refillable mugs, a nice change.
• For my friends out there with inexhaustible bank accounts you might want to break out the checkbook when you read how Early Buyers At Golden Oaks Get VIP Benefits at Walt Disney World Resort. You might be surprised at just what a few million $$$ will get you these days.
• For folks visiting Walt Disney World this summer, especially you Fantasmic! fans (that’s me), some great news from Disney this week. You will be able to see Fantasmic! Performing Nightly July 2nd Through September 30th. No word on what’s happening after that but the September 30th date coincides with the end of the Disney fiscal year so that date, for now, is not surprising.
• I know the vast majority of Disney fans are interested in the Fantasyland project and how it’s progressing so give a look at the Fantasyland Update: Look At Storybook Circus In Magic Kingdom for the latest information.
• For you July travelers, here is the Disneyland Refurbishment Schedule July 2011 and the Disney World Refurbishment Schedule July 2011. Enjoy your vacations!!
• We can’t forget the west coast resort that started it all so you can find out about the  New Characters Coming To Disney’s California Adventure Park and the Disney’s California Adventure ‘World Of Color’ Dinner Details in these two links.
• A lot of us visit Walt Disney World for the Epcot International Food And Wine Festival so any information we can get ahead of time is helpful. There are a lot of details in the article 16th Epcot International Food And Wine Festival Is Coming Sept 30 – Nov 13 so check them out.
• Time to talk about records. Did you know that in a world wide event Typhoon Lagoon was in that record. If you read ‘Just Keep Swimming” – Typhoon Lagoon Sets Guinness World Record you will see to what we are referring.
• If you are going to be in or around Anaheim for the D23 Expo in August you should stop by the Anaheim Convention Center Arena to find out which 2011 Disney Legends are To Be Celebrated At D23 Expo.
• There is a new Cast Member at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.  Read about the Baby Mandril Born At Disney’s Animal Kingdom. That’s what I call starting those Cast Members young!!
