Chewbacca Meet and Greet Relocates Near Millennium Falcon Following Launch Bay Closure
Following the closure of Star Wars: Launch Bay, guests at Disney’s Hollywood Studios can now find Chewbacca meeting near the Millennium Falcon in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. The change is part of the ongoing adjustments to character experiences in the park’s Animation Courtyard area.
The new scheduled meet and greet takes place in a shaded alcove to the right of the Millennium Falcon. While the location currently lacks signage, Cast Members are available to help guide guests to the line. To manage crowd flow, the line is kept short and capped by Cast Members; once the last guests have received their photos and autographs, Chewbacca takes a scheduled break until the next meeting time.
Chewbacca meets periodically between 11:50 AM and 6:50 PM for approximately 10 minutes at a time. Guests should note that these scheduled appearances are not guaranteed every day. Chewbacca will also continue his role as a roaming character throughout Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, offering opportunities for spontaneous encounters.
In addition to this shift, Darth Vader has also begun scheduled meet and greets near the Star Tours – The Adventures Continue attraction within Hollywood Studios.
