The new chocolate Coco sculpture is on display just for the Halloween season. The sculpture depicts buildings from the ‘Land of the Dead’ in the background with Miguel and Dante crossing the marigold bridge between the land of the living and the spirit world.
The sculpture is inspired by Coco and the Plaza de la Familia in Disney California Adventure. It took over 480 hours to create and features five hidden Mickeys. The display is made from 200 pounds of icing, 100 pounds of gingerbread dough, 50 pounds white chocolate, 30 pounds crisped rice cereal, and over 3 dozen different colors of fondant.
Dante is in his Alebrije form. He is so bright and colorful! Miguel is in his usual blue jeans and red hoodie. He is also resting his arm on the guitar belonging to his grandfather Héctor. The detail put into this display is just amazing.
