It’s National Pretzel Day and we here at Chip and Co. can’t think of a better way to celebrate this savory occasion than with one of the amazing pretzel treats you’ll find at the theme parks. To give you just a taste of where you can satisfy your pretzel cravings here are a few of our favorites.
Let’s start with the beloved and iconic Mickey Pretzel (pictured above). This snack is sure to put a smile on your face and can be found at every park at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland. Most come with a delicious cheese sauce for dipping or you can choose to pair yours with a bit of yellow mustard which we find equally as tasty.
For those that like your pretzels on the sweet side, we recommend a stop at the newly opened Midnattsol Bakery at the Norway Pavilion in Epcot where they serve up a delicious chocolate pretzel.
Another one of our favorite treats at Epcot has to be the Jumbo Pretzel served up at the Bier and Pretzel Cart located in the Germany courtyard. It pairs wonderfully with the Schöfferhofer Pink Grapefruit Beer also on offer.
If you’re lucky enough to be visiting during the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival, also be sure to stop by the Bauermarkt: Farmer’s Market Outdoor Kitchen in Germany and sample this delicious Toasted Pretzel Bread topped with Black Forest ham and melted Gruyère cheese.
For visitors to Magic Kingdom park, we highly recommend the Pepper Jack Warmed Stuffed Pretzel which you’ll find at the Lunching Pad in Tomorrowland.
Prince Eric’s Village Market in Fantasyland is also serving up a Pretzel Royal which comes with a Beer Cheese Sauce that is absolutely divine!
Visitors to Disney Springs will definitely want to try the Air Pirate’s Pretzels. This pretzel “flight” comes with spicy German mustard and cheese fondu.
Over at Pandora – The World of Avatar a recent addition to the menu worthy of noting is the Colossal Pretzel served with beer cheese fondue or cheese sauce.
Visitors to Disneyland will also want to be sure to try one of the incredible pretzel treats you’ll find around the parks. Some of our favorites include the Bavarian Pretzel at Sanoma Terrace (pictured above), pretzel bites with cheesy sauce at the Cozy Cone Motel at Disney California Adventure or the Jalapeno Cheese-filled Pretzel at Bayside Brews on Paradise Pier.
Available at the pretzel carts in front of “it’s a small world” you’ll also find a delicious Cinnamon Pretzel. Or, if you prefer, head over to the Troubadour Tavern in Fantasyland where they are severing up Pretzel Bites with cheese sauce. We are also huge fans of the Jalapeno Cheese-fill and Cream Cheese-filled Pretzels at Refreshment Corner.
Finally, you can really show your Pretzel-loving side with an impressive range of Disney Parks merchandise! Options include the Mickey Mouse Pretzel T-shirt which you’ll find at Shop Disney Parks. Other fun items include the Mickey Pretzel Keychain, and a 10-inch Mickey Pretzel Plush! For those looking to take a taste of the parks home with you, we also recommend treats like Minnie’s Sweets Mickey Mouse Frosted Pretzels or the Chip ‘N Dale Snack Co. Mickey Pretzels. All of the items can be found at merchandise locations throughout Disney’s parks and resorts!
We hope we’ve given you a bit of inspiration next time you’re looking to satisfy those pretzel cravings!
