A Wake-Up Call with a Twist: Celebrate National Irish Coffee Day at Raglan Road!
If you’re looking for the perfect way to perk up your weekend at Disney Springs, look no further. This Sunday, January 25th, Raglan Road Irish Pub & Restaurant is raising a glass to National Irish Coffee Day with a deal that sounds like music to our ears: “You buy the coffee, and we buy the whiskey!”

General Manager Rachael Conroy is inviting guests to experience the true, authentic version of this classic drink. As she puts it, “If whiskey and coffee each get their own national days, Irish coffee should have its day in the sun, too.”
The “Lost Irish” Experience
The star of the show is the pub’s signature Lost Irish Coffee. This isn’t your average cup of joe; it’s a masterfully balanced blend of:
Freshly brewed coffee
Lost Irish Whiskey
House-made Demerara sugar syrup
Velvety, hand-whipped cream

A Special Guest from San Francisco
To make the day even more legendary, Raglan Road is welcoming a very special guest: Tony, the head bartender from the historic Buena Vista Café in San Francisco.
The Buena Vista Café is famous for being the place that first recreated the Irish coffee in America back in 1952. Tony will be showcasing his world-class skills throughout the evening, wheeling a performance cart through the pub to whip up drinks with the “speedy spectacle” that made the drink famous.
The History Behind the Heat
Did you know Irish coffee was born out of a bumpy landing? In 1943, a flying boat landed in Foynes, County Limerick. To soothe the weary American travelers, Chef Joe Sheridan added a splash of whiskey and sugared cream to their coffee. It was an instant hit, eventually finding its way across the ocean to become the global staple it is today.
As humorist Alex Levine famously said, “Only Irish coffee provides in a single glass all four essential food groups: alcohol, caffeine, sugar, and fat.”
