Disney’s Hollywood Studios celebrates an exciting milestone this year. On May 1, 2019, the theme park will officially have brought magical entertainment to Walt Disney World Resort guests for 30 years!
As one could expect, there are plenty of entertainment options being offered to celebrate this outstanding achievement. Disney’s Hollywood Studios will celebrate its 30th anniversary on May 1 with a special anniversary ceremony. The debut of the new nighttime projection show, “Wonderful World of Animation”, will also occur on this special day once the sun goes down. This new show uses state-of-the-art projection technology to take guests on a magical journey through more than 90 years of Disney animation, beginning with Mickey himself!
Guests can celebrate the milestone earlier with the opening of Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy. This is a high-octane, first-of-its-kind show that will put guests in the middle of the “Cars” universe. The new show will be located next to Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith and will open its doors on March 31! After the show, guests will have the opportunity to meet none other than Cruz Ramirez!
