Casting Call for New Little Mermaid Show at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Walt Disney World has released a casting call for “The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure,” a new production set to debut at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in the coming year.

Disney announced plans for “The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure” in late 2023 to replace “Voyage of the Little Mermaid,” which never reopened after the 2020 shutdown. Originally slated for a fall 2024 debut, the show has been pushed back to summer 2025. Initial auditions for Ariel, Eric, and puppeteers were held in February 2024, suggesting casting challenges may be contributing to the delay.
Aspiring performers can find the casting call for “The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure” on DisneyAuditions.com. Disney seeks talented vocalists and actors to fill both full-time and contracted substitute roles.
Ariel: Disney is looking for a talented actress to portray the iconic role of Ariel. The ideal candidate is a 5’2″-5’6″ lyrical pop soprano with a powerful belt to C. She should embody Ariel’s spirit, curiosity, and longing for the human world. Performers are asked to prepare “Part of Your World” for their online audition.Eric: Disney seeks a charismatic and fearless actor to play the role of Prince Eric. The ideal candidate is a 5’10”-6’0″ performer who can embody Eric’s romantic and adventurous spirit.
