This happened a while ago, but I don’t think I’ll forget it for a while. Unfortunately, the photo is a bit blurred, but then again, shiny and clear things are difficult to photograph.
Valentine’s Day was like almost any other day for my boyfriend and me — we went to Disneyland. What made this trip different from the rest was a certain cast member at the Story Book Land canal boats in Fantasyland. I wish I remembered her name. She was probably one of the sweetest cast members I have ever encountered.
She had asked if my boyfriend and I were celebrating the day by coming to Disneyland. We explained that we are annual passholders and that this is a regular visit for us. She was quick to reject our opinion that it was a normal trip for us.
She made her way to what I can only describe as a podium. She opened the little cabinet door and pulled something out of it. When she returned, she placed something in my hand. It was a “glass” slipper like Cinderella’s. (Okay, so it was plastic. Work with me here.)
I had never seen these before, even though I spend much of my free time there. After she placed it in my hand, she said, “Here, now this is different from all the other visits. Not all visits are the same — the people are always different.” She couldn’t have been more right.
Hopefully I see this cast member again sometime in the future, just so I could let her know that I still have the slipper.

Aww, that’s so cool! I was beaming for days after the cast member gave me the slipper.
How sweet!
That is like the chef at 50’s Primetime Cafe who gave my friend and I light-up Tinkerbell pins because we were so cheerful! I cherish my small plastic Tinkerbell.
