Sad news among members of the Disney entertainment community. A legendary Disney Parks pianist, Mark Anderson, has passed away. Many will remember him delighting Magic Kingdom guests while playing the piano at Casey’s Corner.
He was an incredibly talented pianist and performer that would entertain audiences. Mark played piano at various Disney Parks across the world for over 30 years and brought immense joy to countless Guests and music lovers throughout that time. He started working for Disney in 1984 when he joined the band at The Disneyland Hotel. Afterwards, he worked at Tokyo Disneyland for a while and transferred to Walt Disney World in 1988. He spent most of his Disney career at Main Street, U.S.A. in Magic Kingdom.
Besides performing at Disney World, Mark Anderson was an active member of his church where he enjoyed playing the piano, organ, arranging music, and serving as a director for the choir. His love of music was passed down to other members of the family as well, including his children, who enjoy writing their own music.

The obituary states Mark passed on January 16th while surrounded by family. He was a talented man who loved being kind and created magical memories for others with his music.
Mark Anderson will be missed by loved ones and those who enjoyed his talents. We send our deep condolences to his family and friends.
