‘Cars’ Disney+ Series Will Include ‘Planes’ Characters. A new series is racing to Disney+! Cars: The Series will see the return of Dane Cook, Gabriel Iglesias, Cedric The Entertainer, and Carlos Alazraqui in their respective roles from the Planes films. Though the now-defunct DisneyToon Studios was the studio to create the “Planes” movies, Disney-Pixar is the animation studio leading the development of Cars: the Series for Disney+.

Disney has yet to share any plot details for the show, but the full cast of the series currently includes: Fernando Alonso (Miguel Camino), Cristela Alonzo (Cruz Ramirez), Corbin Bleu (Cam Spinner), Jenson Button (Self), Cathy Cavadini (Linda McQueen), Jason Earles (Kevin Racingtire), Keith Furguson (Lightning McQueen), Larry The Cable Guy (Tow Mater), Quinton Flynn (Rusty Rust-Eze), Ray Magliozzi (Dusty Rust-Eze), Dane Cook (Dusty Crophopper), Gabriel Iglesias (Ned/Zed), Cedric The Entertainer (Leadbottom), Carlos Alazraqui (El Chupacabra), Johnathan Forbes (Zachary ‘Zach’ Johnson), Donald Fullilove (Stinger), Bret Iwan (Tony and Bobby Swift’s Crew Chief), Mach Tony Kobayashi (Kabuto), Phil LaMarr (Phil Tankson), Bruno Mars (Rex Revler), Vincent Martella (Kevin Shiftright), Mitchel Musso (Darren Leadfoot), James Rankin (El Machismo), Kaitlyn Robrock (Fiona Ramirez), Kimi Räikkönen (Kimi ‘The Iceman’ Revkonen, Llyod Sherr (Fillmore), Daniel Suárez (Danny Swervez), and Sebastian Vettel (Max Schnell).

Cars: The Series is now expected to premiere on Disney+ in Fall 2022 with Steve Purcell and produced by Marc Sondheimer penning the script.
