Co-Stars React to Cameron Boyce’s Death and Initial Autopsy Results Are In. Fans around the world were devastated to hear the news that Disney Channel Star, Cameron Boyce, had passed away in his sleep on Saturday night. His family made a formal announcement Sunday morning regarding his passing.
“It is with a profoundly heavy heart that we report that this morning we lost Cameron,” the statement reads. “He passed away in his sleep due to a seizure which was a result of an ongoing medical condition for which he was being treated. The world is now undoubtedly without one of its brightest lights, but his spirit will live on through the kindness and compassion of all who knew and loved him.
We are utterly heartbroken and ask for privacy during this immensely difficult time as we grieve the loss of our precious son and brother.”
Though early claims of Boyce’s passing appeared to be from an apparent seizure in his sleep, the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner performed an autopsy to search for the official cause of death and have yet to determine the cause. “An autopsy was performed today and a cause of death was deferred pending further investigation.” The statement also confirmed that Boyce was pronounced dead on the scene when authorities arrived to his home.
Cameron’s Co-Star’s from Grown Ups, Jessie, and Descendants have been paying their respects with touching tributes to the late young actor via social media.
Cameron’s on screen parents from Grown Ups 1 and 2, Adam Sandler and Salma Hayek, shared heart felt responses to his early passing.
Cameron started acting from an early age and was a signature member of the cast of Disney Channel’s Jessie where he spent 4 years in his role as Luke Ross. Co-Stars Peyton List, Skai Jackson, and on screen mom, Christina Moore also posted to social media expressing their condolences.
Cameron’s most iconic role amongst Disney Fans comes from his time as Carlos, the son of Cruella de Vil, in the popular Disney Channel Original Movie Series, Disney’s Descendant’s.
His on screen mother, Wendy Raquel and film director, and soon to be Disney Legend, Kenny Ortega, posted touching photos of Boyce as well as tear-jerking tributes regarding Cameron’s passing.
