Buses Boats and Monorails – WDW Transportation App Review

Are you preparing for your first trip to the Walt Disney World Resort and are confused by how to get from your resort to the park? No sweat. The “Buses Boats and Monorails – WDW Transportation” app can help you navigate your way around the “world.”

After downloading the 99 cent app just select your starting point and your final destination and the app will show you what mode of transportation you can take either Monorail, Boat or Bus.

All of the resorts hotels, parks, restaurants are listed. There are even maps of the resorts and parks, including Downtown Disney. The only tweaks I would make to the app would be to add a “walking distance” type of option (example Epcot to Disney’s Boardwalk). Having this app geared toward first time travelers it would be nice to see all the options of how to get from point A to point B.  Perhaps a general length of travel time would also be good to have listed per mode of transportation. Of course they would have to mention that times may vary due to peak season etc… but these are just suggestions. Perhaps these suggestions could be integrated into future updates.

Overall this app is helpful and easy to use. I particularly like having the maps built-in to the app. It’s way cooler (and “greener”) to fire up those parks maps on your iPhone or iPad than carry around those maps that tend to get crumpled up during the course of your park trek. If you’re unsure about how your options of how to get from here to there on Walt Disney World property the give this app a chance.
