Some of Major League Baseball’s marquee teams, including four reigning division champions, will take on the Atlanta Braves at Walt Disney World during spring training in 2015. The Braves host the National League East champion Washington Nationals on Friday, March 6, and face the American League East champion Baltimore Orioles on Thursday, April 2. The new-look New York Yankees head to town on Wednesday, March 18.
All-Star game closer Craig Kimbrel and the rest of the Braves report to Disney for two weeks of training in mid-February at Champion Stadium at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, then begin play Wednesday, March 4 against the New York Mets, who return on Tuesday, March 10. The National League Central division champion St. Louis Cardinals visit on Wednesday, March 11, while the American League Central division-winning Detroit Tigers come to Disney three times with matchups on March 7, 13 and 22.
The schedule features four night games – the Houston Astros on March 14 and March 31, the New York Yankees on March 18 and the Baltimore Orioles on April 2.
Each Braves spring training game has a unique Disney feel with family-oriented fun, including in-game entertainment, Disney character appearances and on-field fan experiences. In what has become a Disney tradition, kids will again have the opportunity to run the bases after every game.
Individual spring training game tickets will go on sale Monday, December 1, through the Atlanta Braves’ website (braves.com/springtraining), through Ticketmaster (800/745-3000) and at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex Box Office. Spring training ticket prices range from $14 (general admission lawn seats) to $54 (lower level reserved seats).
Information on the Braves’ Spring Training season tickets, suite/hospitality, group tickets and mini-plans is available by calling the Premium Sales team at (407) 939-GAME (4263) and online at www.espnwwos.com/atlantabraves.
