
Brightline has completed the rail line between West Palm Beach and Cocoa. Testing for this line will begin soon! “Brightline is beginning the new year with a critical step toward the completion of its intercity rail system connecting Miami and Orlando,” the company said in a news release.

The train testing between West Palm Beach and Cocoa will not have passengers and will not exceed 60 mph. The testing allows drivers to become familiar with the 130 miles along the corridor with a manager who is already familiar with the area for “oversight and instruction.”

During the construction process, 156 railroad crossings have been upgraded. More crossings will be upgraded throughout 2022.
Currently, Brightline runs from Miami to West Palm Beach. The construction to Orlando is about 70% complete right now. The expansion is set to be done by the end of 2022 with service beginning next year.
This train is not going near Cocoa Beach! There is NO rail service on the barrier island that Cocoa Beach is part of. The train will run through the City of Cocoa, NOT the City of Cocoa Beach! Do your homework and report real news not FOX News!
