Marvel fans are looking forward to the Captain Marvel sequel The Marvels. To celebrate exactly one year until the film’s release, Captain Marvel herself Brie Larson has shared a new set photo on her Twitter.
The Captain Marvel sequel will debut in theaters on February 17th, 2023.
A synopsis for The Marvels reads: “Marvel Studios’ The Marvels will feature Brie Larson returning to the role of Captain Marvel/Carol Danvers. In the film, she’ll be joined by Teyonah Parris, who was first introduced as adult Monica Rambeau in Marvel Studios’ WandaVision, along with Iman Vellani, who will appear as Ms. Marvel in the upcoming Disney+ series of the same name. Prepare to experience it and fly higher, further, and faster with the film, directed by Nia DaCosta!”

Filmmaker and Director Nia DaCosta shared her excitement for the sequel telling Variety, “I can say it’s a very different beast, but I am obsessed with how we all deal with our pain and trauma, and there’s some of that in the story.”
The Marvels has begun filming at Pinewood Studios in London. The movie is also set to film in both Los Angeles, CA, and New Jersey. The Marvels will star Brie Larson (Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel), Teyonah Parris (Monica Rambeau), Iman Vellani (Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel), Zawe Ashton (unspecified), and Park Seo Joon (unspecified).
