In the women’s race, Marielle Despres of France, now residing in Clermont, claimed the top spot. The 2025 Disney World Marathon marked the grand finale of an action-packed race weekend that kicked off on Thursday with a 5k, followed by a 10k on Friday, and a half-marathon on Saturday. Many runners embraced the challenge of completing all four races, known as the “Dopey Challenge,” earning themselves extra bragging rights and unique medals. Among these dedicated athletes were 47 “perfect runners” – individuals who have participated in every single Disney Marathon since its inception.
The event celebrated inclusivity with participants of all abilities, including wheelchair athletes, taking part in the festivities. In true Disney fashion, many runners added a touch of magic to their miles by donning creative costumes.
Behind the scenes, a dedicated team worked tirelessly to ensure a seamless and unforgettable experience for all. Adam Ball, vice president of Run Disney, emphasized the collaborative effort involved. “We have hundreds of people behind the scenes working all year to make this come together and feel completely seamless,” Ball explained. “From when you register months in advance to when you get here, run through our parks, and do it with this entire community that they feel such a part of, it’s really an army of folks working together who bring this to life.”
The 32nd Disney Marathon proved to be another resounding success, filled with inspiring achievements, magical moments, and the enduring spirit of the Disney-running community.
