Summer Just Got A Whole Lot Cooler: Both Disney Water Parks Set to Open May 21!
Big news is making waves at Walt Disney World, and no this is not an April Fools’ joke! As Blizzard Beach celebrates its 30th anniversary, Disney has announced that for the first time since 2019, all six Disney World parks—four theme parks and two water parks—will be open at the same time! That’s right, both Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach will be ready to soak guests in fun from May 21 through September 7.
Before the splashy summer fun officially begins, Blizzard Beach will take a brief chill break from May 1–20 to get ready for its grand seasonal return. Once it reopens, guests will have double the slides, double the waves, and double the reasons to celebrate summer at the Most Magical Place on Earth.
Resort guests can dive right in, too—literally. As part of the 2025 perks, all Disney Resort hotel guests will receive free water park admission on their arrival day. Whether you choose the tropical storm-tossed shores of Typhoon Lagoon or the snowy slopes of Blizzard Beach, you’ll be cooling off in style from the moment you check in.
And for those who think water parks are best enjoyed under the stars, H2O Glow After Hours at Typhoon Lagoon is back and brighter than ever. Running select nights from May 23 to September 13, this after-dark splash bash features glowing dance parties, Toy Story characters, complimentary snacks, and way shorter lines. The best part? Kids tickets are just $42.50—half the price of adult admission—and there are also discounts for Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club members.
