Bob Iger To Cut Some 7000 Jobs at Disney as Cost-Cutting Measure
Today on the Walt Disney Company 1st Quarter 2023 call Bob Iger announced that Disney would be cutting some 7000 jobs across the company as a cost-cutting measure.
Iger announced that the company would be making a $5.5 billion cut in costs as part of its restructuring process which equates to about 3.2% of Disney’s workforce.

This cost-cutting is in line with statements made by Iger last year that there would be layoffs and a hiring freeze for the Walt Disney Company coming in 2024.
