“Mary Poppins Returns” hit theaters this past holiday season and has already become beloved by many Disney fans. The continuation of stories and characters featured in the original 1964 classic has wowed audiences since its release. Consequently, the film has earned 4 Golden Globe awards as well as 9 Critics’ Choice awards. Some of the features fans are Hollywood celebrities like Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds. The star couple recently hosted a special screening of the film.
The couple was on hand at New York at Feinstein’s/54 Below to host a reception and viewing of the new chapter for 17 Cherry Tree Lane. Poppins herself, Emily Blunt and director Rob Marshall were there to help celebrate the feature’s success. The group also welcomed actors and entertainers like Morena Baccarin, Dayo Okeniyi, and Harry Conick Jr.

The clan meet and get help from a magical nanny who’s practically perfect in every way. Now a new generation of Banks children needs assistance from Mary and her fantastical friends. Throughout, Poppins helps them to find joy after a devastating loss. The film stars Emily Blunt as Mary Poppins and Lin-Manuel Miranda as the plucky lamplighter Jack. Making special appearances in the new picture are classic stars like Meryl Streep and Angela Landsbury. The film has gained many accolades including being voted as one of AFI’s Top 10 Films of 2018. “Mary Poppins Returns” is in theaters now.
