Republican Troy Nehls, of Texas on Monday introduced legislation that would direct the Secretary of Transportation to revoke no-fly zones over Disney World and Disneyland according to The Daily Caller.
The bill is called the Airline’s Independent of Restrictions Act or ‘Air Act’ which asks the Department of Transportation to revoke Disney’s no-fly zones over its US theme parks.

So far the bill has 5 cosponsors and can be read here.
“The federal government should not grant special privileges and pick favorites for powerful well-connected companies like Disney,” Nehls told the Daily Caller before introducing the bill to the House. “Measures designed to protect our national security and public safety should not be co-opted by corporations looking to gain.”
Back in 2003, Congress passed a bill that added temporary flight restrictions over Disney World and Disneyland in the wake of 9/11. No other theme parks like Universal Orlando were given those restrictions.
At this time Disney has not issued a statement regarding the Air Act. Stay tuned to Chip and Company for more details as we get them.
