Dafoe told Variety, “I haven’t seen any footage yet, but it was fun to do. I play a police officer in the afterlife, so I’m a dead person. And in life I was a B-movie action star, but I had an accident and that’s what sent me to the other side. But because of my skills, I became a detective character in the afterlife. So that’s my job. But it’s colored by the fact of who I was [when I was alive]: a B movie action star.”

Willem Dafoe’s career spans several decades. He initially gained recognition for his role as Sergeant Elias in Oliver Stone’s war film “Platoon” (1986), earning him his first Academy Award nomination. Dafoe’s ability to portray complex characters with depth and intensity became a hallmark of his career.

One of Willem Dafoe’s most iconic performances came in the cult classic film “Spider-Man” (2002), where he portrayed the memorable character of Norman Osborn, also known as the Green Goblin. His portrayal of the menacing and psychologically tormented villain solidified his status as a versatile actor capable of seamlessly transitioning between hero and antagonist roles.
