“Beetlejuice” was also directed by Tim Burton and released in 1988. The story follows a recently deceased couple, Adam and Barbara Maitland, who find themselves trapped in their home as ghosts. When a new family moves into their house, the Maitlands are determined to scare them away. In desperation, they seek the help of a mischievous and eccentric spirit named Beetlejuice, who specializes in “bio-exorcism” and promises to rid the house of the living. However, as Beetlejuice’s chaotic methods escalate, the situation spirals out of control, and the Maitlands must find a way to protect themselves and the new family from the destructive spirit.
“Beetlejuice” is known for its unique blend of macabre humor and imaginative visuals, characteristic of Tim Burton’s distinctive style.
