Walt Disney Pictures and IMAX will be presenting the Toni Myers documentary “A Beautiful Planet” on April 29, 2016. As part of the Earth Day Celebration in April, the documentary includes footage shot by the astronauts on board the International Space Station. The film made in cooperation with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) gives viewers a change to see “A Beautiful Planet” from space.
The Giant Screen Cinema Association will be hosting their International Conference and Trade Shot next week in San Francisco, where Toni Myers will unveil film footage. Imax Entertainment CEO Greg Foster praised Toni Myers on her “remarkable film that uniquely captures the raw beauty of our planet,”Alan Bergman, president of Walt Disney Studios, shared the following statement about how the movie “provides a unique perspective on our relationship with Earth, offering audiences a vantage point that very few have ever been able to experience.”Toni Myers has been instrumental in making documentaries including the 2010 “Hubble 3D” “Blue Planet” and “Space Station 3D”.
