You may have been seeing some news stories of some “Star Wars” themed planes as of late, with two other Star Wars-themed planes previously having taken flight in recent months. Yesterday, the third and final Star Wars plane had its inaugural flight. This plane is BB-8 themed, and belongs to Japan’s largest airline company, ANA. The plane left the Osaka Itami Airport yesterday, and landed today at LAX in Los Angeles, CA. But wait, there’s more! A VIP guests came along on the flight, and departed the plane at LAX; BB-8 himself!
Not only is the outside themed to BB-8, but so is the inside, where you can see BB-8 headrests, BB-8 paper cups, and flight attendants even wearing BB-8 aprons. The BB-8 themed ANA JET plane will have many more flights to come, some departing from the U.S., including Los Angeles, Washington D.C., New York, Chicago, and Houston. Looks like now is the perfect time for you to travel if you’re a Star Wars fan!
If you can’t get enough of BB-8, be sure to check out the “Building BB-8” featurette on the “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” Digital HD copy (release date April 1st) or on Blu-Ray Combo Pack (April 5th).
