The potential to earn the top spot may have been influenced by several events including the Floyd Mayweather Jr and Manny Pacquiao boxing event, the NBA playoffs and the Kentucky Derby which were all aired this weekend.    Shown in 4, 276 screens, the US debut, audience included audience demographics –  59% male of which 41% were under 25 years of age.  With the film’s release in Japan and China soon, “Avengers: Age of Ultron has the potential to the $1 billion mark and beyond.”
