Second France Pavilion Fire in 2025 Quickly Extinguished by EPCOT Cast Members

The latest incident, which was captured in a video shared by TikTok user @disneycass84, occurred just behind Les Vins des Chefs de France, the kiosk location known for serving French wines and specialty beverages.

Quick Response Averts Damage

Fortunately, quick action by Walt Disney World Cast Members prevented the fire from escalating. Culinary Cast Members were credited with using a fire extinguisher to put out the flames. Additionally, two Cast Members quickly arrived by boat to assist with the situation. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

While the official cause of the fire has not been confirmed, some commenters on the viral video speculate that it may have been started by a discarded cigarette. It is important to note that smoking is strictly banned inside all Walt Disney World theme parks.

History of Incidents in the Area

This is not the first time the France Pavilion has faced a fire scare this year. In March 2025, a separate incident resulted in large plumes of smoke rising above the pavilion. According to representatives from Disney at the time, that fire was contained within a walk-in cooler located behind the building and was quickly extinguished. The cause of the March fire was also not publicly stated, and no injuries were reported then either.

The repeated incidents raise concerns about safety protocols and guest compliance in this highly trafficked area of World Showcase.

Please note that Smoking is banned inside the Walt Disney World theme parks.
