New LEGO Set Alert: Pixar Lamp Luxo Jr. Revealed
In an exciting collaboration, the LEGO Group and Pixar have announced the first-ever brick-built LEGO® Ideas Pixar Lamp Luxo Jr. Collectible Display model, set to illuminate collections on June 1st, 2025. This iconic lamp, synonymous with Pixar since its debut in the groundbreaking 1986 short film Luxo Jr., can now be recreated in LEGO bricks, allowing fans to capture its signature bouncing, hopping, and rotating movements for the very first time.

LEGO’s tribute to the magic of Pixar comes in the form of a fully articulated Luxo Jr. model, complete with a buildable Pixar ball designed for nostalgic display. Recreate the classic moment from the original 1986 Luxo Jr. short film by having the lamp playfully posed on the ball. As a special treat, the Pixar ball opens up to unveil hidden Easter eggs referencing a lineup of fan-favorite Disney and Pixar movies, including Up, The Incredibles, Ratatouille, Monsters, Inc., Toy Story, and Finding Nemo.

The LEGO Ideas Luxo Jr. set is the perfect addition to your shelves, a 613-piece posable tribute to the iconic lamp that has captured hearts for nearly 40 years. This striking display model originated from the vision of LEGO fan Toby Brett, who submitted his design to the LEGO Ideas program.
After receiving the enthusiastic support of over 10,000 voters, his clever and playful design became a reality. Toby explained his inspiration: “I’m a huge fan of all the Pixar films… and Luxo Jr. is the mascot that perfectly sums up my love for these movies. I spent a lot of time looking at photos of Luxo Jr. to make my model as screen-accurate and recognisable as possible.” For those ready to bring Luxo Jr. home, pre-orders for the LEGO® Ideas Pixar Luxo Jr. Collectible Brick-Built Display Model are open now (since May 8th!), with general availability beginning June 1st, 2025, at LEGO stores and select retailers globally.
