Animals at Disney World get into the Halloween Spirit

It’s one of the most exciting times of the year for the animals at Walt Disney World Resort!

The Animals at Walt Disney World are Celebrating Halloween!

Every Halloween, the keepers at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park and aquarists at The Seas With Nemo & Friends at EPCOT provide special pumpkin enrichment activities for the animals. Each activity is carefully planned to encourage mental and physical activities that are an important part of the animals’ day to day care.

While some pumpkins are full of tasty treats like bugs, worms, fruits and vegetables, others are carved and decorated to be fun additions to the habitats.

The tortoises very enthusiastically gathered to munch and smash their pumpkin!

Baby Greta got to participate in her first Halloween celebration this year! The adorable baby hippo was born on July 12 this year and we are loving watching her grow!

Even the Bowmouth Guitarfish was able to have some fun!

We are always so excited to be able to get a view into the lives of the animals who are a very important part of Walt Disney World Resort. I can’t wait to see what fun they show us next!
