Vet Hospital Animal Kingdom

Rafiki’s Planet Watch’s Animal Hospital and Veterinary Treatment Room at Disney’s Animal Kingdom has reopened for guests to enjoy. This fascinating animal treatment area is viewable through a large window.

The Veterinary Treatment room closed late March for refurbishment. Some of the refurbishments include replacing the glass viewing window with leaded glass. This new viewing window creates the ability for guests to view procedures in which hospital staff use two new computed tomography (CT) scanners for animal diagnostics. Disney’s Animal Kingdom is one of only two animal hospitals in U.S. zoos with CT scanners on the premises.

The Veterinary Treatment Room is located at Conservation Station inside Animal Kingdom. A short train ride on the Wildlife Express Train will transport you to the park’s wildlife conservation and animal encounter area. This tucked away gem at Animal Kingdom has a number of fascinating and fun activities including meet and greets with Rafiki and Doc McStuffin, Affection Station (an animal petting zoo) and an outdoor trail featuring cotton-top tamarin monkeys. All these fun activities are included in your park admission.
