Disney’s Animal Kingdom park is celebrating 20 years of animal conservation and natural environment protection on Earth Day. The park is planning a “Party for the Planet” and you can see it live even if you can’t be in the park. Disney Parks Blog will be live streaming the celebration starting at 10:15 am ET on April 22nd.
“Party for the Planet” has been expanded for the park’s 20th anniversary, from April 22nd to May 5th. Rafiki’s Planet Watch will become the center of the celebration. It will include backstage experiences that give guests the opportunities to learn about Disney’s conservation efforts.
There will also be a brand-new show debuting at Animal Kingdom during “Party for the Planet”. “UP! A Great Bird Adventure” will feature Russell and Dug from the Pixar movie UP.
The Pandora Utility Suit will also be debuting during the anniversary celebration in Pandora – The World of Avatar. This suit from the movie Avatar will be used to study wildlife and plants as well as educate guests about the land of Pandora.
Join Disney Parks Blog and the #DisneyParksLIVE team as they kickoff this very special anniversary celebration live from Disney’s Animal Kingdom beginning April 22nd at 10:15 am ET.
