It looks like both 2022 and 2023 will be huge for Disney’s theatrical releases!
The Walt Disney Company made a stunning presentation on the main stage at CinemaCon this week. They gave a 90-minute session that delivered exclusive footage of upcoming films including the anticipated 3D reveal of Avatar 2, along with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Lightyear, David O. Russell’s star-packed Amsterdam and Bob’s Burgers.

When you own roughly half the studios in the entire industry, you know that Disney will show up with a lot of stuff for a CinemaCon presentation.
“Nothing can match the combined power of Disney, Walt Disney Animation, Pixar, Marvel Studios, Lucasfilm, Searchlight, and 20th Century.”
— Tony Chambers, executive vp theatrical distribution
According to sources, the “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” footage included a shot of Nakia, Shuri & Okoye all on the front line of what looked like a major battle approaching.
Then Marvel Studios’ Kevin Feige took the stage. He said he’s heading back to a Marvel Studios creative team retreat immediately after CinemaCon, where they’re planning the next 10 years of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Feige said “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” is on schedule for its November 11, 2022 debut. Both Feige and director Ryan Coogler are working very hard on finishing it up, and the first teaser trailer will be released in June.
