The Tangerine Dole Whip makes a return appearance at this years Flower and Garden Festival. If I had my way this soft serve confection would stay on the menu all year long! This is one of those sleeper menu items that many people don’t notice since its located in the Refreshment Outpost between China and Germany. Sure it looks like the ordinary quick service you see every trip, but what most people don’t realize is they serve Flower and Garden Festival specialty snacks too.
The Refreshment Outpost is still serving all its usual quick grab and go eats in addition to the festival offerings. You can find hot dogs served with chips, lemonade or Coke slushies, adult beverages, water, sodas, and ice cream floats as well. Directly across from the refreshment Outpost you can find some tables and chairs alongside the World Showcase Lagoon. The spot offers a little shade and a beautiful view. If your here for a Tangerine Dole Whip though you might want to dig in before you sit down. The day we were there ours started melting quickly! That didn’t stop us from enjoying every last drop.

The Tangerine Dole Whip is normally served with a waffle cone but on the day we were there the heat had it coming out of machine a little on the soft side, so we opted for a dish. You can always ask for the cone on top though if that happens to you. The Tangerine and Vanilla Swirl flavors reminded of an Orange Julius drink. It was just the right amount of orange flavor, creamy, and not overly sweet. This cool treat was very much appreciated on such a hot Epcot day.

The Refreshment Outpost features a themed area off to the side complete with African drums. Kids love playing around on these while some of the family waits in line. This area also makes for a nice photo spot.
