New La Poutinerie Dining Location at EPCOT
For fans of crispy fries, squeaky cheese curds, and rich gravy, the walk between World Nature and World Showcase is about to get a major upgrade. Air Canada has officially revealed concept art for La Poutinerie, a reimagined dining location taking over the former Refreshment Port at EPCOT.
While the location has been closed for refurbishment since January 12, 2026, this announcement confirms that the site is evolving from a generic snack kiosk into a themed destination. As the Official Canadian Airline of Walt Disney World Resort, Air Canada is deepening its partnership with Disney by hosting this new “classic with a twist” experience.

What to Expect: Geese, Trees, and Gravy
The newly released concept art suggests that while the building’s footprint remains the same, the aesthetic is receiving a distinctly Canadian makeover. Key features of the redesign include:
- Whimsical Decor: The most striking addition is a centerpiece featuring Canadian geese figures seemingly “flying” out of a decorative tree.
- Themed Landscaping: The area will be framed by lush greenery, flowers, and rockwork, designed to blend seamlessly with the aesthetic of the nearby Canada pavilion.
- Modernized Signage: New information boards and sleek signage will replace the old Refreshment Port branding, giving the kiosk a polished, permanent feel.
The menu remains the biggest mystery, though the tagline “a Canadian classic with a twist” hints at more than just the traditional poutine. If past Air Canada pop-ups are any indication, guests might see global fusion poutines inspired by various flight destinations.

Beyond the Food: Perks for Aeroplan Members
This sponsorship isn’t just about signage. Air Canada is leveraging its status as the official airline to offer exclusive benefits to Aeroplan Members traveling to Walt Disney World. Current and upcoming perks include:
- Point Redemption: Aeroplan points can now be used for Disney hotel and flight packages, Disney Gift Cards, and even merchandise.
- VIP Experiences: Points can be redeemed for exclusive viewing areas for Luminous: The Symphony of Us, EPCOT’s nighttime spectacular.
- In-Flight Magic: Passengers can enjoy Disney+ content and a new Walt Disney World-themed safety video on select flights.

When Will It Open?
While Disney and Air Canada have labeled the project as “Coming Soon,” industry watchers are keeping a close eye on the calendar. With construction permits already filed for “set elements” and the location having been closed since early January, many are hopeful for a grand opening in time for the summer crowds or the start of the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival.
Until then, poutine lovers will have to wait just a little longer for their fix. One thing is certain: with Air Canada at the helm, the journey to the perfect poutine is about to get a lot more scenic.
