Splash Mountain is closing soon for an entire retheme to become Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Twitter user Bioreconstruct shared an aerial view of Splash Mountain.

Splash Mountain at Magic Kingdom will permanently close on January 23, 2023. The attraction will get rethemed to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and will open in late 2024.

Bioreconstruct shared an aerial look at the attraction before major work begins:


The image shows the main mountain along with the show building that is hidden backstage. You can also see the backstage parade route where the floats either enter or exit the parade.

We will have to wait and see what the construction looks like over the next year as the attraction gets dismantled and the new theming is installed.
