Epcot fans will rejoice upon seeing the latest aerial photos of construction progress. We see the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy roller coaster is starting to take shape. The future roller coaster is highly anticipated by both Disney Park fans and those who enjoy the Marvel movie franchise.
The Guardians of the Galaxy coaster has no set opening date but we are so excited for it. We can’t wait to “Rock the Galaxy” with some of the characters from the movies. It’ll be awesome to have a new E-ticket attraction at Epcot!
The Twitter account, @bioreconstruct, shared their aerial photos of Epcot. You can see the current construction progress on the site of the Guardians of the Galaxy roller coaster. The Twitter user explains:
“Aerial look at what will be the EPCOT World Discovery neighborhood. Guardians of the Galaxy, Play Pavilion, and Mission Space. Green half-circle at right is Space 220 restaurant.”
The Guardians of the Galaxy Coaster was officially announced at the 2017 D23 Expo. Disney confirms the upcoming ride is the world’s longest indoor roller coaster. The Marvel superhero ride will quite unique since it launches passengers backwards. Construction has been moving along steadily since spring of 2018 on the site of the former “Ellen’s Universe of Energy”, which shuttered in August of 2017.
