Adria Arjona Cast in Leading Role for the ‘Cassian Andor’ Star Wars Series Coming to Disney+. A new Cassian Andor centric Star Wars series is coming soon to Disney+ and the cast is growing! Adria Arjona (6 Underground, Pacific Rim: Uprising) will co-lead the series alongside Diego Luna who is reprising his role as Cassian Andor from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

Diego is excited to return to production soon now that the film studios are beginning to reopen, but says there is no rush as they wait for a revised start date. “Shooting is starting around the world, so slowly, we’re going back, but there’s no rush,” shared Luna. “To me, what this pandemic brought to my attention is that there [are] priorities. We have to be cautious, and we have to be wise on when and how to go back. And the how is the most important, because if we go back to be who we were, we’ve wasted our opportunity, we wasted a major opportunity of rethinking and reinventing much of the stuff we believed was crucial and essential that clearly is not.”

It is currently unknown who Adria will portray in the series, but the highly anticipated series will include some familiar faces as well as other newcomers to the Star Wars Universe. Recently, it was shared Jimmy Smits (Bail Organa) and Alistair Petrie (General Draven, Rogue One) would be reprising their roles for the new Star Wars Disney+ series.  Andy Tudyk is set to reprise his role as K-2SO and Genevieve O’Reilly will return as Mon Mothma.  New cast members for the series include Stellan Skarsgard (Thor), Denise Gough (The Good Traitor) and Kyle Soller (Fury). No details have been revealed about the new characters or position in the series.

The new Star Wars series “Follows the adventures of Rebel spy Cassian Andor during the formative years of the Rebellion and prior to the events of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Diego Luna will reprise the role of Andor, which he originated in the 2016 film. The rousing spy thriller will explore tales filled with espionage and daring missions to restore hope to a galaxy in the grip of a ruthless Empire.”
