Morimoto Asia in Disney Springs hosted the family-friendly Matsuri Festival event as part of their month-long Spring celebration this Sunday. The celebration centered around the ushering in of Spring during the cherry blossom season.
Featuring Pan-Asian street foods, made to order hand rolled Sushi, Menchi Katsu (which are fried meatball sliders), Ramen, and Yakitori (chicken, beef, sausage, and vegetable skewers) were available among other dishes.
Traditional Japanese games, such as Jenga and Ramune ring toss were set up for kids (and the kids at heart). Winners could choose from tasty Japanese treats as their prize.
A walk-about event, guests were able to enjoy other Japanese featured culture besides just the cuisine. Drummers dazzled patrons with a musical performance, and at an origami station, you could learn to make origami of your choosing, while personalized calligraphy artwork was also created while you watched and was yours to take home.
Dessert rounded out the event with offerings of gelato, churros, and mocha in various flavors, which were a very popular sweet treat among the guests! Tables were decorated with delicate cherry blossoms.
Morimoto Asia is located on the Westside of Disney Springs and is open daily for reservations from 11:30 am to midnight.
