These are the kind of events that make me so happy to be a film fan. On Wednesday, October 10, Yahoo! and AMC theaters will be partnering together to bring a live question and answer session with Steven Spielberg and actor Daniel Day Lewis, where they’ll talk about their upcoming film, ‘Lincoln’. Spielberg is my favorite filmmaker, and I always love listening to him talk about his movies, and this has been one of my most highly anticipated movies for quite some time, going as far back as when Liam Neeson was originally attached to the role. I love Spielberg’s history epics, and the fact that has gotten Daniel Day Lewis to star as the sixteenth President is nothing short of incredible, so it’s safe to say that I can’t wait for this to be out. I’m definitely excited to get a chance to listen to them talk about the movie before its release, and I really wish I could be one of the lucky few in New York City next Wednesday to be there in person for it.
The event will begin at 7 p.m., eastern time, and will be streaming live on Yahoo! movies for those not in attendance in New York, or the nine other cities across the nation. Are you excited for ‘Lincoln’? Will you be tuning into this live Q&A? Let me know in the comments below, and hit the jump for the full press release. ‘Lincoln’ will be released on November 16, 2012.

Spielberg directs two-time Academy Award® winner Daniel Day-Lewis in “Lincoln,” a revealing drama that focuses on the 16th President’s tumultuous final months in office. In a nation divided by war and the strong winds of change, Lincoln pursues a course of action designed to end the war, unite the country and abolish slavery. With the moral courage and fierce determination to succeed, his choices during this critical moment will change the fate of generations to come.
Starring Daniel Day-Lewis, Sally Field, David Strathairn, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, James Spader, Hal Holbrook and Tommy Lee Jones, “Lincoln” is produced by Steven Spielberg and Kathleen Kennedy, with a screenplay by Tony Kushner, based in part on the book “Team of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln” by Doris Kearns Goodwin.
