Disney’s “The Brave Little Toaster” is getting a modern update as of September 19, 2012, and is becoming a completely a CGI Film (Computer Generated Imagery). “The Brave Listtle Toaster” follows the weird but fun journey of a toaster, electric blanket, lamp, radio and vacuum as they become alive and look for their master. Their master left them behind and they desperately want to find him and be with him no matter what the challenges or dangers of travels may be.
Waterman Entertainment has acquired the right to the animated film from 1987 and are looking to develop it totally in a computerized world. Interestingly, this film was pitched to Disney by John Lasseter (Pixar) to originally be a CGI film way back then. But it was cost prohibitive to accomplish this and so the film was developed in 2D.
There is no current release date and Waterman Entertainment has not begun production so the timeline is unknown.
