Here there guys and gals Anonymouse here.
More news on the NextGen front which is causing some of you non planners out there to grumble…According to WDW Magic Permits have been filed by Walt Disney World for fastpasses to be added to Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, Aladdin, It’s a Small World, and two others that remain anonymous..(that’s anonymous not anonymouse like me)…but seems like probably will be two of the Fantasyland attractions still to come. Some people think these rides do not need fastpasses, but they are getting them anyway, so how will it work out – we will have to wait and see.
What you think is it a good idea or bad? Let me know in the comment box below.

i just saw that the little mermaid and story time with bell are geting fastpasses on the disney parks blog
I have been there when the wait for Small World was almost an hour. It is not a must do for us so we don’t really worry about it.
I was thinking the same thing.
This looks like it is going to go hand in hand with the Next Gen technology that Disney has been working on. They just launched a new smartphone app that has the potential to allow you to get your fastpass through the phone app. They are probably going to have fastpass at all of the popular attractions to help you “plan out” your visit.
yay!!
we waited for an hour to go on Aladdin in this heat, hooray for Fast pass 🙂
I thought that Haunted Mansion had fast pass already?????
Even when the waits are long for those attractions they really aren’t that bad. I remember waiting for HM down along the river up the stairs and through all the chains and it didn’t really seem that long cause you were always moving. And IASW needing FP really??? I know it’s been busier lately but c’mon
I think some people feel the need to fastpass everything and maybe over plan just a bit. Even in the holiday season I can never remember waiting more than 10 minutes to ride Pirates or Small World. Society seems to be moving towards a “get it done right now” attitude which really doesn’t lend itself to any theme park; there will always be lines. It saddens me that designers go through all the work to make waiting areas interesting and thematic and guests just want to bypass them as quickly as possible. Standing in a line gives families time to reconnect, plan, and just enjoy being together. It doesn’t have to be the mindless grumbling zombie shuffle to the front of the line.
I’ve never had to wait for those rides.
As a former CM that worked at a very popular FP Attraction (starts with an S and ends with an ‘OARIN ;)) I have to say that FP seems to make the waits longer. Of course, FP is being refurbed in general with rumored next-gen tech so we will have to wait and see how it pans out.
Weird about HM though – they had it and it didn’t work before, so why would it work this time??
My initial thought is that is it really necessary for It’s a Small World and Aladdin? I think IASM may be just seasonal. I don’t feel the wait for the ride is long enough to justify a fast pass.
